Black Girl Magic and Black Boy Brilliance TOY DRIVES

Since 1963, Franklin County Children Services has provided gifts to the children we serve through the Holiday Wish Program. Our agency has made it a priority to enable children to celebrate their unique identities and cultures. The Black Girl Magic and Black Boy Brilliance Toy Drives were created in response to the unique challenges Black girls and boys face within Ohio's child welfare system. Historically, these children have had disproportionate rates of involvement in child welfare institutions when compared to their counterparts. We seek the community’s help in providing holiday gifts for these children, enabling them to see themselves as the unique, beautiful, and magical children they are and the influential adults they will become.

RSVP to Join Our Celebrations - December 3 and December 10

The organizers and members of our Simba and Maliaka Mentor Programs invite you to join us for our Black Girl Magic and Black Boy Brilliance celebrations. You’ll have an opportunity to meet some of the young people who have been part of these engaging mentoring programs. Please consider bringing a new, unwrapped gift to the celebration.
